2017 Cabernet Sauvignon-Zinfandel - Variant Series

Our Variant Series is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. This is a very popular California blend style, combining the concentrated jammy aromas and flavors of Zinfandel to the well-structured framework of Cabernet. The result is this full-bodied wine with LOTS of fruit. The addition of Petite Sirah enhances the mid-palate.

2016 Bourbon Barrel-Aged Zinfandel

We started with a big, round, fruit-forward zinfandel and then aged it in Bourbon Whiskey oak barrels for 3 months. The result is wonderful! The jammy zinfandel picked up a touch of the smokiness and spice from the toasted barrels. Plus, the wine absorbed traces of the Bourbon from the oak, resulting in a wine with 17.4% alcohol. It displays flavors of ripe plum, dark cherry, and a nice hint of smokiness and spice.

Pair this wine with bold foods like bacon wrapped filet mignon as well as BBQ beef dishes.

2002 Solera Late Harvest Zinfandel

This amazing dessert wine comes from the famous 300 acre Lopez Ranch in the Cucamonga Valley. Planted in 1918 in the last months before the Prohibition, Lopez Ranch sits in the shadow of the Gabriel Mountains. This wine was fortified with Brandy then aged in oak barrels in a "solera" (warm oak barrel aging area, typically used for Sherry) for 15 years! The time allowed the wine to caramelize and become more concentrated in flavor.

Enjoy notes of hazelnut, dried figs, baking spices, and dark chocolate. Pair this wine with dessert or as a dessert itself.
